Pear Santa Maria

Pear Santa Maria fruit is medium to large, and very nice appearance. It is characterized by a lush tree and extremely high yield. The skin during ripening acquires a distinct yellow color, and a slight blush on the sunny side. Its flesh is juicy and aromatic. , and ripens during August. It is sensitive to soot scab, and it is moderately sensitive to frosts. We recommend quince rootstocks MA and BA-29. Its good pollinators are Gelert’s (Hardy’s) Gifard’s, Moretini’s, Košija’s and Krasanka’s.
